The Herzum Pending Approvals Chart gadget displays pending approvals based on a chosen approval mapping, organized by either approvers or users. This information can be viewed in a table format or a bar chart.
Gadget Configuration
Approval Mapping: This field is mandatory and shows all the approval mappings set up in the Herzum Approval App. You can only choose one mapping.
Issue Creation Date: This is an optional filter that allows you to narrow down the displayed issues within the selected approval mapping based on a specific date range.
Use Approvals search
By default, this gadget is configured to utilize the "Use Approvals search (default)" option, allowing it to present pending approval issues organized by the approver's name for quicker access.
This default setting guarantees swift loading speeds without the need for extra setup.
Disabling the "Use Approvals search (default)" option activates the Users and Groups fields. In this mode, the gadget arranges pending approval issues based on either the chosen users or all users within the selected group.
It's important to note that opting for this configuration may result in longer loading times for the gadget.
Gadget Dashboard View
The gadget dashboard view presents a list of issues resulting from the selected approval mapping and date range. Beneath the "JQL applied" label, you can find the JQL query used for the search.
In the search box, you have the option to enter the name of an approver or user to locate a particular result. It's important to note that the search function is case sensitive.
You have two options for viewing the data:
Table View: This is the default display. It showcases a list of issues alongside the names of the configured approvers or users. By clicking on an issue, a new window will open, redirecting you to the selected issue.
If the "Use Approvals search (default)" option is enabled in the configuration, each issue in the table view will feature an information button. This button reveals the list of users with pending approvals for the selected issue.
Bar Chart View: Opting for this view will display bars next to the names of the approvers or users, indicating the number of pending approvals.
Clicking on a bar will open a new window listing the issues awaiting approval for the selected approver or user.
