/jcreate - Create an issue in JIRA


Users can create a JIRA issue from a Mattermost channel by using the

slash command /jcreate.

From  a Mattermost channel type /jcreate.

Choose which project in which to create the JIRA issue from the drop list.

A user will only see projects for which they have access to in JIRA.

In the pop-up dialog "Create a new ticket" enter:

  • Issue type
  • Summary
  • Description (optional)

Click Submit.

The channel is notified of successful JIRA issue creation.

A link (here in blue) is provided to open the JIRA issue.

Clicking the link "PR-3 The application is running slow" will take you to JIRA to view the issue.
