Approval Delegation

Approval Delegation is a feature that allows users with Approval rights to delegate their Approval authority to another user. This option allows you to enable/disable the functionality.

When the Approval Delegation option is enabled, you can expect the following:

  • user display the Approval Delegation section where they can delegate their approval authority to other users and display approval delegated to them

  • Jira System Administrator can manage delegations

User picker auto-population

This option allows you to configure auto-population in the Approvals user-picker type. Please note that if this option is not enabled, the userpicker field for the issue will not be populated, even if the auto-population rules are configured.

*This setting may increase the loading time of the issue panel.

Enable Delegate Approval Alerts

This feature enables the application to notify delegated users about pending approvals. Notifications are triggered whenever a request notification is dispatched to an assigned approver. By default, this feature is turned off, ensuring that only assigned approvers receive notifications.
