The webhook allows you to connect Approval to your Slack workspace.
To get this link, you must follow these steps:
Login to your workspace and access the API section.
Click on ‘Create New App’
Choose the 'From scratch' option.
Write the name of the app and choose your workspace.
In the workspace, create a new channel to receive the messages. It is recommended that this channel be private, so that notifications are only read by the added people.
On the Slack API section, select ‘Install your app’. Before installing the application, the first step is to add the permissions by clicking on 'permission scope'.
Add:
'incoming-webhook' in 'Bot Token Scopes' section.
'channels:read' and 'chat:write' in 'User Token Scopes' section.
Once the permissions have been added, you can install the application in the workspace by clicking on the button ‘Install to Workspace’ in the ‘Install your app’ section.
You must choose the previously created channel and click on 'Allow'.
To copy the webhook of the created application, go to Features > Incoming Webhooks.
Paste the link into the ‘Webhook from Slack’ section.
