By default, only the Project lead, the JIRA System administrators and users in project role administrators are enabled to setup approval steps for a specific issue.

You can the default grants via the Permission Administration screen .

 

The Configure Approval for Single Issue screen let you setup  approval steps for a specific issue.

When configuring the approval workflow for a single issue, this setting overrides any Approval Mapping configuration.

The screen let you able to revert the configuration applied on the single issue to the Approval Mappings configurations by Project and Issue Type.

How to configure Approval for Single Issue

  1. Navigate to the issue View screen
  2. Click Issue Approval  to display the Configure Approval for Single Issue  screen
  3. Select a workflow transition, drag and drop all desired Approvals from the Available Approvals to the Requested Approvals column

  4. Setup the advanced settings that you need to apply by clicking on the arrow of the Advanced Setting button

     

     

     

    A configuration for a single issue provides the same advanced setting options available for an Approval Mapping by Project and Issue Type.

     

     


How to revert the single issue configuration to the Approval Mappings configurations by Project and Issue Type

The Configure Approval for Single Issue screen let you able to revert the configuration applied on the single issue to the Approval Mappings configurations by Project and Issue Type.

When the issue uses a specific configuration, the Approval Configuration field reports the text Single Issue Approval and the button Revert Approval Mapping appears.
