Before you can collect and display Approval History data, an user having Jira System Administrators global permission must have enabled it on the Global Configuration screen.

When the Approval History is Enabled any Approval event regarding an issue is displayed on the Approval History tab of the Jira Activity section for the issue.

By default, the displayed fields include the following:

  • Source Status

  • Transition Name

  • Destination Status

  • Approval Name

  • Approval Detail (any group, project role, user, etc. having been configured on the Approval)

  • Executor

  • Action (Approved, Rejected, Pending, Automatic Transitioning, Automatic Notification, Approvals Notification, Single Notification)

  • Date

  • Approver's Comment

By default, data are ordered by date & time in descending order.

The information displayed on the Approval History tab and its aspect can differ depending on the setting applied by the Jira System Administrators.
