The Approval Superusers section on the Global Configuration screen allows you to setup users having special approval privileges (Super Approvers) and the user needed by the app to perform automated tasks (Approval Expression Superuser).

Super Approvers

Is it possible to make an user a super approver. 

An approval superuser can approve or reject any approval via the approval buttons on the issue screen, via the Bulk Approval screen, via email, etc.

Follow the steps below in order to setup the Super Approvers: 

  1. Log in as a user with the Jira Administrators Global Permission
  2. Select Add-ons from the Administration menu (cog icon: )

  3. Scroll down to Herzum Approval → Global Configuration 

  4. Scroll down to the Approval SuperusersSuperusers → Super Approvers
  5. click the user picker icon and Select one or more users 
  6. Click the Select button
  7. Click Save to persist changes
  8. A message confirm notifies that the operation has been performed succesfully

The selected user will be used by the app to populate the user picker custom fields case of Approval configurations based on expressions.

Approval Expression Superuser

An Approval Configuration can be build upon an user picker custom field that is automatically populated by the app basing on a clause (refer to Auto populate user picker field based on expression for further information regarding this feature). This features requires that you specify the user that will be used by the app to perform this automated task.

Follow the steps below in order to setup the Approval Expression Superuser: 

  1. Log in as a user with the Jira Administrators Global Permission
  2. Select Add-ons from the Administration menu (cog icon: Image Added)

  3. Scroll down to Herzum Approval → Global Configuration 

  4. Scroll down to the Approval Superusers → Approval Expression Superuser
  5. click the user picker icon and Select one or more users 
  6. Click the Select button
  7. Click Save to persist changes
  8. A message notifies that the operation has been performed successfully
